Current capability and authority#
Publish equipment-specific test checks, record controlled evidence and distinguish independent verification, failure, waiver, invalidation and retest.
Clearly labeled synthetic example#
Synthetic SWG-01 uses its project-specific FAT plan, not a universal commissioning level scheme. Nine independently verified results out of ten required tests represent 90% verified completion, not permission to energize.
Read historical commissioning evidence without backdating decisions#
Analytics evaluates the chosen reporting cutoff, known-at timestamp and timezone against retained commissioning revisions and observed equipment, document and prerequisite states. A performed-at test timestamp does not backdate when its result was recorded or independently verified. A later verification, acceptance, invalidation or equipment revision cannot rewrite an earlier retained snapshot.
Document observations begin when this history capability is installed; older unobserved availability is unknown. If a required source was not yet observed, the metric reports unavailable historical evidence rather than zero defects, zero tests or current readiness. The live commissioning workspace continues to assess current operational readiness. Neither current nor historical readiness authorizes electrical energization.
Inputs and terminology#
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Published plan | The retained applicability basis, customer terminology, criteria, responsible owners and prerequisites for one equipment revision. |
| Verified result | A successful recorded result independently accepted by an authorized verifier against valid evidence and configuration. |
| Waiver | An explicit authority/evidence-backed exception; it is never a successful test. |
Procedure#
Define the checks
Open Commissioning → Test plans → Create test plan. Select equipment/current revision, owner and customer framework. Add each check, acceptance criteria, owner, due date and prerequisites. Explain every exclusion.
Publish the reviewed plan
Save the draft, then have the authorized approver publish it. A later draft does not replace the prior published basis until publication. Use as template creates a separate draft for deliberate adaptation.
Record a test
Open Tests → Record result. Inspect criteria and prerequisites. Enter observed outcome, actual time, attestation and exact evidence versions. Save and retain revision.
Verify independently
An authorized person other than the recorder checks the evidence and records Verify. Failed tests require follow-up/retest or an explicit supported waiver.
Handle changes and field interruption
A changed equipment revision, invalidated prerequisite or unavailable evidence removes success from current readiness. Preserve the old result, reassess applicability and record a retest. Save draft in this tab before an interrupted connection and explicitly restore/retry when available.
Verify the result#
The test register separates missing, pending, verified, failed, invalidated, waived and excluded checks; history retains every result/decision revision.
What happens next#
Typed attestations retain authenticated attribution but are not claimed as qualified electronic signatures.
Offline drafts require an already-open browser tab and preserve the exact revision for conflict review. No background automatic approval is performed.
