- Permission to create planning records and access to the cited sources.
- For recorded-input screening, an explicitly reviewed capacity-limit assumption and reviewed compatible load inputs.
Inputs and terminology#
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Basis scenario | A retained variant of a planning basis; it is not adopted merely because it was saved. |
| Recorded-input screening | A bounded comparison of selected load assumptions with a reviewed capacity envelope. It is not an engineering model or capacity certificate. |
Procedure#
Prepare a retained alternative
Open Scenarios or the basis history and choose the relevant new-scenario action.
State the purpose, boundary, phase, reporting basis, inputs and rationale. Save the scenario; confirm that the adopted-basis reference has not changed.
Inspect the comparison
Select the basis versions to compare. Check their boundaries and time bases before comparing totals.
For a recorded-input scenario, choose the reviewed capacity envelope and permitted load assumptions, then run screening when its prerequisites are satisfied.
Read the retained result
Inspect the result, limitations, source versions and review states retained at screening time.
After an input or source changes, review the freshness warning and run a new screening. Use the explicit adoption action only when separately authorized.
Verify the result#
The alternative and its comparison or screening history are retained. The adopted baseline remains unchanged unless explicitly adopted.
What happens next#
A current screening means the recorded inputs still match; it does not establish redundancy, usable capacity or energization authority.
